Vegan Gluten Free Porridge


3 cups cooked brown rice

1 ¾ cup (415ml) almond milk

3 tablespoons coconut sugar (or brown sugar)

2 tablespoons golden flaxseed meal

2 tablespoons raisins

¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 pinch salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 Topping ideas:

Pomegranate arils

Chopped nuts

Shredded coconut

Chia seeds

Cacao nibs


  1. Combine, rice, milk, sugar, flaxseed meal, raisins, cinnamon and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then turn the heat down to low and cook until thickened to your liking, stirring frequently.
  3. Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Serve warm with any toppings you like
