Midwest Foods is 100% locally owned and operated. 
Damien Mahon (Managing Director) and Toni Alderdice (General Manager/Director) run the business on a day to day basis. Damien also sits on the board of Countrywide Australia, the largest group of independent foodservice wholesalers in Australia and Toni Alderdice drives the financial performance of the business.
Midwest Foods employs over 30 staff members including sales representatives, telesales staff, delivery drivers as well as retail shop and warehouse staff.
Our sales representatives are very highly regarded in the industry, having over 50 years experience between them. They have extensive knowledge of our product lines, and can recommend products based on quality, price, suitability and popularity. They receive weekly training on new products as well as the latest changes in the food service industry. Our customers appreciate the high level of service we can provide. We have a Telesales team who call customers on a regular basis to take their order, discuss any new products, arrange to send brochures or samples, organise appointments with sales reps and follow up on sales leads. Customers deal with the same Sales and Telesales Representatives for all their needs, which ensures continuity of service and strong relationships between staff and customers.
Our Marketing Coordinator acts as an intermediary between suppliers and customers, ensuring that information about new products, promotions and events is relayed to the customer effectively. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the creation and distribution of all marketing material including flyers, brochures, newspaper/radio/TV advertisements, price lists, monthly specials brochures and point of sale.
