Our Range
Midwest Foods stocks a huge range of frozen, fresh and general grocery items as well as packaging and cleaning products to suit your everyday home needs and wholesale customer needs.
- Frozen Foods - vegetables, meats, pastries and cakes, prepared meals and desserts
- Chilled Goods - dairy products, smallgoods, cryovac red meat and eggs
- Dry Groceries - ingredients, premixes, oils, condiments, drinks, pasta and rice - almost anything found in a pantry!
- Paper and Packaging – Take-away containers, plastic plates and cutlery, wraps and foil, paper bags, gloves and much more
- Janitorial and Cleaning - Laundry products, general cleaning chemicals, kitchen chemicals etc.
In addition to this standard range (and as our warehouse and storage facilities have grown), we have been able to distribute a wider choice of boutique and gourmet products. We now distribute a large variety of fresh products (including specialty cheeses, fruit, vegetables and meats) delivered to our warehouse on demand for our wholesale customers. This diverse range of goods differentiates us from our competitors, most of whom typically sell a more standard range. We are also the exclusive distributors of Streets Ice Cream in this area (you remember the Streets range…...Golden Gaytime, Classic Magnum, Paddlepop….)
Over the past few years we have implemented a “Total Buy/Total Supply” strategy. This means the customer can buy all their foodservice needs from us instead of buying from four or five different suppliers. This, in turn, limits the amount of paperwork for the customer. This policy has led us to carry a large range of paper, packaging and janitorial supplies and greatly increases the amount of business we can do with our current customers.
